Neil Young This journal will contain pieces of my musical journey... thoughts that come to me, feelings while playing, struggles, etc. I've had a love/hate relationship with my violin for the last few years of my playing. I'll become frustrated or feel rejected and put my violin away for a while, but I always come back. These struggles, in part, come from outside sources. It seems that there are many people who are too concerned with winning or being the best rather than the music itself, unfortunately. This is my attempt to overcome this obstacle. Music is something that never leaves me. I am too connected with it. I feel complete when at peace with my violin. ((Want to friend me? Go ahead! | My name is Aubrey. I enjoy drinking Diet Pepsi, reading for fun, receiving letters in the mail (I penpal), eating chips and salsa, and watching movies with the love of my life, Josh. I'm a junior in college, currently majoring in English. I'm graduating in May 2010, and I am getting married in October 2010. I've been playing violin since 4th grade... so, that makes it... around 11 or 12 years of playing. My interests change rapidly and range from anything to everything. I fall in and out of hobbies. That's okay, though. It keeps things interesting. |
